This started as a project in 3rd year of my degree. Having worked with Jc Ink before I wanted to create a tattoo flash book for their studio but not only that, I wanted to do research into specific cultures tattoo styles and what those techniques and symbols mean. I condensed the book down to four different cultures which were American Traditional, Traditional Japanese, Celtic tattoos and Norse Rune tattoos. I did research into historical significance, technique, tools and meaning of reoccurring symbols and figures. The artworks I created were based off specific styles and characteristics of each culture.
